The Northlake Fire Protection District is governed by a Board of Trustees who are elected by constituents from the area the Fire District serves. This Board is tasked with being the corporate authority of the fire protection district and exercises all of the powers and controls all the affairs and property of the district. The Northlake Fire Protection District Board of Trustees conduct open regular meetings the fourth Tuesday of the month at 5:00 pm in the fire station located at 118 E. Parkview Northlake IL. The three elected trustees serve in one of three roles: a president, treasurer and secretary.
President
Jeanmarie Nardiello was first appointed in 2001 to fulfill an unexpired term. She was first elected in 2003.
Treasurer
James Pauletto was first elected in 1989.
Secretary
Gabriel Saucedo was first appointed in 2021 to fulfill an unexpired term.
The Northlake Fire Protection District Board of Fire Commissioners is appointed by and works under the direction of the Board of Trustees. The Board of Fire Commissioners is tasked with matters concerning the hiring, promotions, discipline and termination of commissioned and sworn personnel. The three appointed commissioners have two roles: president and secretary.

The Chief is tasked with managing the daily operations of the Fire District and works under the direction of the Board of Trustees. Unlike the firefighters and paramedics who work a 24 hr “on” and 48 hr “off” shift schedule, Administrative Chiefs work normal business hours at the fire station. They are on call 24 hours a day to respond to emergency calls within the fire district, emergency calls affecting surrounding agencies, and to respond to any other pressing matters affecting the fire district anytime of the day or night.
